Summary: This study examined the safety and efficacy of CBD therapy in anxiety and anxiety-related disorders. In general, CBD was well-tolerated and associated with minimal adverse effects, with the most commonly noted adverse effects being fatigue and sedation.

Cannabidiol in Anxiety and Sleep: A Large Case Series 
Summary: A clinical case series conducted chart reviews in patients complaining of anxiety and poor sleep. Using cannabidiol (CBD) as an aid, sleep scores increased and anxiety scores decreased within a month in 100/103 patients.

Neural Basis of Anxiolytic Effects of Cannabidiol (CBD) in Generalized Social Anxiety Disorder: A Preliminary Report
Summary: A study was conducted to test the effects of cannabidiol (CBD) in patients with social anxiety disorder, and the results suggested that CBD reduced the effects of generalized social anxiety disorder.

Cannabidiol Reduces the Anxiety Induced by Simulated Public Speaking in Treatment-Naïve Social Phobia Patients
Summary: In this study, patients were given either CBD or a placebo before giving a public speech, and pretreatment with CBD significantly reduced anxiety, cognitive impairment and the patient's level of discomfort with public speaking, and and significantly decreased alertness in their anticipated speech.
